Opened pre-orders for “antimatter” Monohm Runcible

American company Monohm announced the launch of receiving pre-orders for its highly unusual smartphone Runcible, which is also known under the name “antimatter”. It was submitted over a year ago — in February 2015 at the MWC show in Barcelona, but only now have grown to the stage of production.

Smartphone Monohm Runcible has a round shape and is very similar to a pocket watch or even a compass, so it’s really the antithesis of the conventional rectangular cell. It’s not an Android gadget, set BuniOS proprietary OS based on Android Open Source Project. Part Monohm Runcible came in a 2.5-inch screen with a resolution of 640х640 pixels, 1 GB RAM, storage 8 GB, processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 with LTE module inside, chips Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and even built-in main camera with a resolution of 7 megapixels.

The smartphone will be available in two versions: Runcible Runcible Babbage and Lovelace cost 400 and 500 dollars respectively, named after the famous mathematicians Charles Babbage and Ada Lovelace. First got the rear panel from recycled marine debris, and the second features a body made of wood of the strawberry tree. The photo shows very Runcible Lovelace, and it will be a limited edition.
