Mercedes-Benz unveiled its first hydrogen car

The company Mercedes-Benz introduced its first car on hydrogen fuel elements. The prototype crossover was named GLC F-Cell. It is not excluded that the production version will be presented in 2017. Sales could start in 2018.

The car was built on the standard version of the crossover GLC. Power reserve of new items is 500 km, a full recharge will take about three minutes. One of the competitors of the Mercedes can be a hydrogen car from BMW. Such a machine in mass production, the company plans to deliver in 2020. Fuel cells that turn hydrogen into electricity and steam, can achieve the same dynamics as the models with a conventional motor. Unlike electric cars, car on hydrogen, you will fill considerably faster. Also hydrogen model will have Porsche. The official debut of the car will take place no earlier than 2019.

Previously, the company Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the premiere of the concept of the first electric crossover will take place in October at the motor show in Paris. The Assembly of the prototype is conducted at the company’s plant near Stuttgart. The serial version of the model, the release of which is scheduled for 2019, will be positioned as a competitor to Tesla Model X.
