Lukashenko invited Turkish business to participate in the Belarusian privatization

Лукашенко пригласил турецкий бизнес к участию в белорусской приватизации

The Belarusian side invites Turkish business to participate in privatization transactions, said Alexander Lukashenko on 11 November in Minsk on the Belarusian-Turkish business forum in the framework of the visit to Belarus of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“Belarus offers good opportunities for business development associated with the intensification of the country’s privatization process,” — said the head of state.

Lukashenka reminded that the share of state ownership in the Belarusian industrial sector is 70%. “Unlike Russia and other CIS countries, Belarus has preserved the largest national enterprises in state ownership, which allowed to provide them with full support. As a result, significantly increased their productive capacity, competitiveness in world markets”, — he stressed.

The head of state in this regard drew the attention of Turkish businessmen to the Belarusian practice of the point of privatization. As examples of successful privatization deals, which is “an example of success and were among the largest in Europe,” Lukashenka called the sale of the state share in “Beltransgaz” and others.

“We already have experience in supporting large-scale projects implemented by Turkish companies, — said the head of state. — If you want honest and worthy of doing business in Belarus, let’s build it solely on the basis of a decent, non-corrupt, open, honest and principled. Come to Belarus to work with such a mood as you work in Turkey, and then we will succeed.”

“We will be a good support and platform for your business. And if we agree, we’ll have you, like all Belarusian companies — we will always support you and we will always protect. You will be our people in our territory. If you need it, if you see your business in Belarus and via Belarus to come and offer their services,” — said Lukashenko.
