The European football Union has responded to the incident at the stadium in Marseille after the final whistle of the match between England and Russia.
We will remind, the Russian fans after a match broke into the sector with the British fans and put up a fight. In addition, the Russians burned pyrotechnics and noted racist shouts towards the England players.
The UEFA decision on the case is the following: the Russian football Union for the riots, the use of pyrotechnics and the manifestation of racism is fined 150 thousand Euro, and the Russian team has received a conditional suspension until the end of the European championship. In case of repeated violations of the orders on one of the matches involving teams of wards of Leonid Slutsky will be excluded from number of participants of the continental tournament.
“The punishment is excessive, but we can influence it. The penalty is huge, still RFS – public organization. The appeal makes no sense. But where is the team? She was not to blame, so to punish her,” – says the sanctions UEFA President RFS Vitaly Mutko.
I should add that today the French special forces have blocked the bus with the fans of the Russian Union of fans. The bus was a person, directly related to the bloody massacre in Marseille, which took place before the match England – Russia.
