Police in Qatar have arrested a 22-year-old tourist from the Netherlands, after she turned to the guards with a statement about the rape.
Says her lawyer, the Dutch suspect in extramarital intimate relationships.
According to the detainee, she slipped something into the drink and brought to a strange hotel in Doha, where was raped. The next morning she could not remember anything from previous events.
A rape suspect was also detained, however he argues that sexual intercourse happened on mutual consent.
The girl has been detained since March, but the wide publicity the case has received only now.

The Netherlands Embassy in Doha said the girl, known only by the name of Laura is a suspect but not an accused.
As reported by Qatari media, Laura can also blame the public drinking of alcohol that is punishable in Qatar. However, in some of the hotels in the Emirate are drinking hard liquor allowed.
