Italian and French archaeologists have discovered four human skeletons and gold coins in the ruins of an ancient shop on the edge of Pompeii (Italy). On this finding it was officially announced yesterday, June 24.
These skeletons belonged to young people, including the adolescent girl, they died at the back of the store, near the ancient Roman city. It happened at a time when Vesuvius erupted and covered Pompeii in ashes in 79.
Three gold coins and pendant were among the bones. In the workshop revealed the furnace, which, according to archaeologists, the ancient inhabitants of the city used in order to produce bronze objects.
Excavation of this and another old shop began in may near the necropolis near the port of Herculaneum. Scientists reflecting on what was the second commercial property, what activities it was doing. Currently, archaeological work is ongoing.
