The release of Battlefield 1 will take place on 21 October 2016, after which the Studio will be free to do new game.
The developers of Battlefield 1 revealed that the walls of their studios have long been talks about creating games in a series, a genre which is radically different from the shooter. What plans are in the minds of employees of the Swedish Studio DICE.
“We do discuss the possibility to create games based on the Battlefield, which would be done in a different genre. It can be a fighting game or a race. Lately in the Studio more and more often want the proposal to engage in a pinball machine,” — said the developers, and then added that, though the idea is crazy, it would be interesting to do something like that to shock the public.
It is noteworthy that before gaining popularity with a series of Battlefield Studio DICE are really doing a pinball machine. Pinball Dreams in 1992 and was the first game Studio, and after that success decided to consolidate with the release of Pinball Fantasies. It was also released Pinball Illusions, True Pinball was the last pinball DICE — then the Studio made a little less than a dozen racing games, and then groped mine in a Battlefield.
