Japanese company Honda is Recalling 780 thousand vehicles worldwide. As informs Agency Reuters, the decision was taken due to problems with airbags.
Defects were discovered in the system supplied by the company Takata and installed on 15 models of the concern, including the Odyssey minivan. It is noted that the airbag in the accident may reveal the wrong to explode and injure people with pieces of metal. Because of such incidents around the world 13 people were killed and over 100 injured.
The problem arose after Takata changed the design of the airbags. In the 1990s, they used a rather toxic gas, and the manufacturer wanted to reduce the harm from him. For the first time information about the defects appeared in 2004, but have long disappeared. Two years ago because of these problems around the world have recalled about 14 million vehicles produced by Japanese, American and German companies.
