These products will help to reduce the risk of death from heart attack.
A diet rich in oily fish, nuts, vegetable oils and seeds, may reduce the risk of death from heart attack by 10%, found researchers from Stanford University.
According to scientists, salmon, mackerel, walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts and vegetable contain fatty acids omega-3, which has a positive effect on heart health.
Experts have combined insights from a number of major studies to measure levels of omega-3 in the blood and tissues of people with heart disease for a long time. Using 19 studies from 16 countries which participated 45637 people, experts found that a diet consisting of seafood and vegetable products, was associated with a 10% reduced risk of fatal heart attacks.
The results confirm the recommendations of nutritionists, according to which oily fish should be part of a balanced diet to help protect heart health. In addition to the fatty acids omega-3 fish also provides the body with specific proteins, vitamin D, selenium and other minerals and elements.
