The sedan can accelerate from standstill to 96 kilometers per hour in 2.7 seconds.
At the moment the Americans are testing a prototype under the name Edna, created on the basis of a commercial van Mercedes-Benz Vito. Four-wheel drive vehicle has one electric motor on each axle and a set of lithium-ion batteries. The car is able to accelerate from zero to 96 kilometres per hour for 3,1 seconds, however, the company suggest that the sedan will be able to gain the same speed in 2.7 seconds.

According to preliminary data, production of the sedan will begin in 2018, but in 2020 or in 2021, the company’s portfolio will be supplemented by two electric luxury crossovers. Manufacture of machinery will establish the new facility, which can produce up to 20 thousand cars annually.
Firm Atieva was founded in 2007. Now it is headed by a former member of the Board of Directors of “Tesla” Bernard TSE and ex-chief project engineer Tesla Model S. Peter Rawlinson. The company is sponsored by the Japanese firm Mitsui and Chinese automaker BAIC.
