DiCaprio is willing to donate a record amount to protect the environment.
41-year-old famous American actor Leonardo DiCaprio announced that his Foundation will provide $15.6 million for the environmental protection.
Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio said his Foundation, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation will allocate the world’s largest charitable grant in the amount of $15.6 million( approximately 387 212 000 UAH.). The money will be used to develop programs for the protection of the environment and to combat climate change.
Also, the actor announced the appointment of a new Director-General of the organization. This position was taken by Terry Tamminen, which will monitor the operations and implementation of a new plan of action on climate change.
Today we do the largest donation from our Foundation in the hope to strengthen the protection of the environment,“ said DiCaprio.
